Kate is a paediatric naturopath who works with children experiencing complex health challenges, including PANS/PANDAS, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, autism and gut health issues. Her work brings together evidence-based science, herbal medicine and functional testing, helping parents get a better understanding of what's happening beneath the surface and find a practical way forward.
She's passionate about helping families feel heard, supported and less overwhelmed, while taking a neuro-affirming approach that celebrates children for who they are.
For this shoot, we wanted to move away from the usual natural health clichés and create something that felt much more like Kate. Think bold colours, movement, playful moments, clinic life and a little bit of beautiful chaos.
We spent time in her Warrandyte clinic, making use of the colourful props, toys, books and all the little details that make her space what it is. From more polished portraits to relaxed, in-the-moment shots, we created a collection that captures both her expertise and her very human approach to business.
One thing I particularly loved about this shoot was Kate's willingness to have fun with it. She's serious about her work, but doesn't take herself too seriously, and I wanted the images to reflect exactly that.
With a business that's grown and a whole lot of personal change over the past year, this was also about capturing the woman Kate is now, not just updating a few headshots.
The result? A colourful, personality-packed image library for her website, social media, educational resources and everything else she's dreaming up next.
Because you can be incredibly knowledgeable, deeply passionate about your work and still show up as your full, wonderfully human self.
